Nutrizle is the Broccoli Prince of Verdura and the hero of every Nutrizle story. He is a brave, kind broccoli who leads a group of fruit and vegetable friends and shows children that vegetables can be heroes rather than chores. Like every character, his magical power comes from a real nutrient found in broccoli.

Nutrizle’s friends are ten fruit and vegetable characters, including Sally the Strawberry, Carl the Carrot, Andy the Apple, Olly the Orange, Wally the Watermelon and Mia the Mango. Each friend has their own colour, personality and a magical power drawn from the nutrients in the real food, so children get to know a whole cast of foods as characters they like.

The Nutrizle stories take place in the Land of Verdura, a magical world where fruits and vegetables live as characters. In the adventures, the child is part of the story, they explore Verdura alongside Nutrizle and his friends, which is what turns reading into an adventure rather than a lesson.
